***CONTEST CLOSED. THANKS FOR ENTERING!***
I'll admit it: part of the fun of having little ones is being able to dress them up. Having only boys, I can't exactly buy tons of cute, frilly outfits and matching accessories - but I sure can fill their closets with witty printed tees and funny baby onesies. I love dressing my boys in shirts that make strangers look twice and then chuckle once they've "gotten" the joke - it's even better around friends and relatives who understand my sometimes off-center sense of humor.
Snugfits, a mom-run online retailer, was born from one artist's desire to outfit her son in fun, spirited clothing that would reflect both of their personalities. Having inherited her father's appreciation for simplicity and modern art while growing up, Sara Reider wanted more for her little one than unappealing design, poor font choices, and sloppy execution - all of which she encountered while searching for unique baby clothing.Instead of purchasing items that she knew she wouldn't be happy with, Sara decided to take matters into her own hands and began creating designs that were unique, witty, and, most importantly, fun. Thus Snugfits was born, a completely hands-on company committed to helping parents dress their children enthusiastically, proudly, and humorously - without compromising on quality.
Boasting a wide selection of tees and onesies for children aged newborn to 24 months, Snugfits' baby clothes are conveniently categorized by style and subject. Instead of offering just the usual sections (Boys and Girls, Cute and Funny), Snugfits goes a step further and includes designs that reflect specific interests (Edgy, Political, Cultural, Lifestyle, and Rock & Roll, to name a few).
Some of the designs are simply hilarious (take a look at the "Time to repress another memory" tee pictured at right), while others are sweet and adorably meaningful (see "Worth the wait", below). In addition to offering an amazing variety of cute, witty, and original prints, Snugfits also provides accessories such as BabyLegs leg-warmers, knit pants, and infant caps with many of the same fun sayings.
After coming across Snugfits' array of unique baby clothes recently, I was given the opportunity to receive an item of my choice for review. I'd be lying if I told you that I came to a decision quickly - I ended up spending quite a bit of time visiting the many available categories, and changed my mind more than a few times before I finally narrowed down my choices.
In the end, rather than go the cute and funny route, I decided to choose a design for baby G that reflected my hopes and dreams for his future, all in one sweet little saying:

In the end, rather than go the cute and funny route, I decided to choose a design for baby G that reflected my hopes and dreams for his future, all in one sweet little saying:

The "I'll change the world one day..." design comes in your choice of three styles (snapsuit, lap tee, or long-sleeved lap tee) and four different colors (white, yellow, pink, or blue). Since baby G still spends most of his days in onesies and buttoned clothing, I chose the snapsuit style in blue (hard to steer away from it when you've only got boys ;).
When the onesie arrived, the first thing I noticed was how soft and stretchy the material was. According to the product description, all clothing sized at 3-6 months and up are constructed from super-soft baby rib knit, featuring plush 100% cotton fabric. The elasticity in the onesie is meant to allow for free movement (something that's important when you've got little ones who are itching to get a move on), while the material itself is clingy yet non-restrictive for a contoured fit that is easy on, easy off.
I ordered baby G's snapsuit in a size 12-18 months so that he'd have time to grow into it, but even now it fits loosely yet comfortably enough that he can wear it while scooting and crawling around the house without a problem. I love that the printed text is clean and simple, easy to read and just the right size to stand out without being overwhelming. The addition of the Earth graphic gives this onesie a meaningful quality, as it has always been one of my priorities to foster a love and respect for our planet in my children.
